Brush marks
The ragged spiked stroke, the pair of angled strokes and the circular sweep are raw ink, dry bristle gaps included. The circle is the most versatile: a single word fits inside it like a seal.
Blossom and bamboo
Four branches — dense plum, sparse plum, red blossom and pink cherry — plus the lotus and the bamboo grove give a consistent set for a new year card, tea packaging or a calm header. The denser branches read from a distance; the sparse ones need room around them.
Carved rather than inked
The gold dragon seal and the relief stone carry the same motifs into metal and stone. The temple gate is pencil, not ink.
Questions and answers
Are all inked images really transparent?
Yes. Every file is checked for an alpha channel rather than a white or chequered backdrop. Images without real transparency do not enter the catalogue.
What sizes are available?
In inked the sizes run from 647 to 3 630 px on the long side. Large ones are easiest to find with the “Largest” sort or the minimum-width filter.
How many files can I download?
Downloads are free and open. With very frequent requests the site asks to confirm you are not a robot — a normal visitor never sees it.
What is the licence?
Personal and educational projects — freely. For commercial use check the rights with the original source, especially for logos, characters and photos of people.
