An ink-and-water collection
A large share of this topic comes from East Asian brush painting: bamboo stems, mountains with a sailboat, splashes of ink, lotus petals. Those sheets carry soft edges and uneven washes, which makes them good backgrounds for a poem, a tea menu or a calligraphy workshop flyer, and poor choices for small icons.
Droplets, light and weather
Transparent water drops, rainbow arcs and glowing light spots are meant to be layered over something else — a product photo, a slide, a banner. Check them on a dark background first: a drop that looks crisp on white can disappear on black.
Why jewellery shows up here
The source tagged anything with gemstones, pearls or gold as natural material, so rings and pendants sit next to leaves and clouds. If you need landscape or plants only, sort by what you see rather than by the tag.
Questions and answers
Is the transparency real or a painted checkerboard?
Yes. Every file is checked for an alpha channel rather than a white or chequered backdrop. Images without real transparency do not enter the catalogue.
Are there large files for print?
The largest files in this set reach 8 400 px. For print choose 2000 px and up in PNG; for the web 500–800 px in WebP.
Do I need to register to download?
No registration. The only limit is a few dozen files per minute per address, so the catalogue cannot be bulk-scraped.
Can I use nature images commercially?
The catalogue gathers images from open sources. Before commercial use confirm the rights with the author — the source link is on the image page.
