Sky, not weather or space
In the nature section, tree, leaf and grass stay on the ground. Sky is for what hangs above it: sun, moon, rainbow, a stretch of night. Rain, snow and storms have their own home under weather, and planets and rockets under space; here the sky is seen from below, by someone standing outside.
Symbol or backdrop
The moon, the sun and the rainbow are symbols that read at icon size: night mode, a summer flyer, a children’s weather chart. A patch of starry space is a backdrop instead, meant to sit behind text on a dark page or a science fiction cover.
What a good file looks like
A rainbow should have straight, flat ends so it can stand on a horizon line or a cloud. With soft space backgrounds, the edges should fade smoothly to transparent; a visible rectangle means the image was cut, not faded.
