Note in the Music section
Music is the broad neighbour: concerts, instruments, headphones, the mood of sound. Note is narrower — the written symbols of music: quavers, clefs, staves, sheet pages, the little notes that drift out of a singer's mouth. The word also means a written memo and a banknote, and the source tagging has pulled in some of those too.
Notes as decoration
Floating notes show that something plays or sings: a music school flyer, a karaoke night, a lullaby page, a children's song book. The ear with an earplug says the opposite — noise protection, hearing care, a quiet room. Pair it with a health article or workplace safety poster.
Keep the notation honest
A row of random notes is decoration, not a tune; a musician will spot it. If you need real notation — a fragment of a known melody for a course — use sheet music you have rights to. For decorative notes, pick thin, clean outlines and check them on a dark background in the editor on the image page.
