Flute alongside the other instruments
Musical instrument is the catch-all, while trumpet, saxophone and violin each have their own page. Flute is for blown pipes without reeds: concert flutes, piccolos, recorders, pan pipes and folk flutes made of wood or bamboo.
The bamboo flute
This is a Chinese dizi-style flute, and the tassel is a traditional ornament. It suits a Lunar New Year concert poster, a page about East Asian folk music or a craft shop selling handmade instruments.
The horn
It is brass rather than woodwind, so it sits here only because of a source label. Better uses: an orchestra season flyer, a music school’s brass department or a hunting-themed illustration.
