Archery among the sports
Martial arts and olympic are next door in Sports. Archery covers the bow itself and everything around it: archers, targets, arrows, quivers, club ranges and competitions, traditional and modern alike.
Three kinds of bow
A club flyer should show the bow its members actually shoot. Traditional bows are simple curved staves, like the one in the archer drawing. Olympic recurves carry a sight and long stabilisers. Compound bows have wheels at the tips and are used in field and hunting archery. Enthusiasts spot the difference at once.
Hunting slips in
The source often tags hunting pictures with archery, which is why trophies and mountain game appear here. For a sports club page, stick to archers and targets; the animals suit an article on hunting or a mountain wildlife page.
