Controls rather than people
Despite the name, few images show a person. Most are the controls a user touches: search, upload, settings, help. The source tagged them by who uses them, not by what they depict.
Outline or filled
Some icons are drawn as outlines, others as solid shapes. Outlines suit light, airy dashboards; filled versions read better at small sizes on a phone.
Tiles for app grids
Rounded squares with a white glyph inside are ready-made launcher tiles. Change their background colour to match your palette and they form a consistent row.
Questions and answers
Is the transparency real or a painted checkerboard?
Yes. Every file is checked for an alpha channel rather than a white or chequered backdrop. Images without real transparency do not enter the catalogue.
What sizes are available?
In user the sizes run from 600 to 4 096 px on the long side. Large ones are easiest to find with the “Largest” sort or the minimum-width filter.
Do I need to register to download?
No sign-up needed. The file is served after a short wait on the download page.
What is the licence?
Personal and educational projects — freely. For commercial use check the rights with the original source, especially for logos, characters and photos of people.
