Shape before symbol
Drivers and workers read a sign's outline first. A triangle warns, a circle orders or forbids, an octagon means stop and a tilted square marks dangerous goods. Keeping that grammar intact is what makes a custom sign believable in a driving-theory slide or a site plan.
Roads versus workplaces
Red-rimmed triangles with white fields follow road-sign conventions, so they belong in traffic education and route maps. Yellow triangles with black borders come from workplace safety and suit warehouses, freezers and machinery. Diamond placards with class numbers are for transport and storage of chemicals.
Blank shapes
The empty octagon and plain triangles are templates rather than finished signs. Put your own pictogram inside when the hazard is specific to one site, but keep the stroke weight close to that of the official symbols.
Questions and answers
Is the transparency real or a painted checkerboard?
All 6 images carry a real alpha channel. On the image page you can switch the backdrop to white or dark to see the edges.
Are there large files for print?
The largest files in this set reach 2 400 px. For print choose 2000 px and up in PNG; for the web 500–800 px in WebP.
Do I need to register to download?
No registration. The only limit is a few dozen files per minute per address, so the catalogue cannot be bulk-scraped.
Can I use traffic Sign images commercially?
Personal and educational projects — freely. For commercial use check the rights with the original source, especially for logos, characters and photos of people.
