Cut paper
The rooster and the rat seal are Chinese folk papercuts in solid red with dense openwork. They hold up on a light background and are made for lunar new year greetings or a craft workshop notice.
Printed pages
The score, the worksheet, the family tree of a Roman dynasty and the rainfall chart are real documents rather than illustrations. Their text is legible, so they work as a background prop or a thumbnail for a lesson, not as a neutral decoration: whoever looks closely will read them.
Drawn loosely
A wobbly-outlined rabbit, a blue paint splat with cartoon eyes and a computer drawn in plain outline are line doodles that look hand-drawn on paper. They suit a nursery print, a kids' page or a retro help section.
