Named after a tool
The tag points to the program an image was supposedly made in, not to its subject. That explains the mix: desert animals, steampunk jewellery and a romantic heart share nothing except a carefully drawn finish.
Engraving and flat styles
The scorpion is done as a fine engraving with hatched shadows and suits book covers and vintage emblems. The cattle skull is flat colour with no shading and fits western posters or a tattoo sketch. Mixing the two styles on one layout rarely looks intentional.
Ornament you can recolour
The gold filigree on the heart and the brush stroke are the most reusable parts. The stroke especially can be tinted any colour and placed behind a headline or a price.
Questions and answers
Is the transparency real or a painted checkerboard?
Real. We parse the PNG structure and keep only files with an alpha channel; anything with a painted-in background has been removed.
What sizes are available?
Originals range from 600 to 2 000 pixels. On download you can shrink to 64–1024 px; enlarging beyond the original is not offered.
Do I need to register to download?
No registration. The only limit is a few dozen files per minute per address, so the catalogue cannot be bulk-scraped.
What is the licence?
Terms depend on the specific image. We neither sell files nor issue licences; for commercial work check the source named on the image page.
