Motion frozen in a cutout
Every piece here captures something mid-action: glass flying apart, powder hanging in the air, a brush lifted at the end of its stroke. Because the background is already gone, the effect sits on top of a photo or a flat colour without any masking work.
Loud or gentle
The shattered letter and the tornado bring drama, so they belong on titles, game screens and news graphics. The powder cloud and the paint stroke are softer and work as accents behind a heading or at the edge of a banner.
Keeping it believable
Light direction matters more than size. A shard lit from the left looks pasted on a photo lit from the right, so pick an effect whose highlights agree with the scene, and let it overlap an edge of the subject rather than float beside it.
Questions and answers
Are all effect images really transparent?
Yes. Every file is checked for an alpha channel rather than a white or chequered backdrop. Images without real transparency do not enter the catalogue.
What sizes are available?
Originals range from 640 to 5 000 pixels. On download you can shrink to 64–1024 px; enlarging beyond the original is not offered.
How many files can I download?
No registration. The only limit is a few dozen files per minute per address, so the catalogue cannot be bulk-scraped.
What is the licence?
Personal and educational projects — freely. For commercial use check the rights with the original source, especially for logos, characters and photos of people.
