A symbol more than an animal
Elsewhere in Animals, dogs, cats and horses usually appear as pets or portraits. The wolf rarely does: it stands for wilderness, the pack, the night and a certain lone pride. That is why this folder leans towards moonlit silhouettes, stylised heads for crests and tattoos, and engravings in the manner of old natural-history plates, with far fewer plain wildlife photos.
Telling it apart from a dog
Coyotes, jackals and huskies are drawn very much like wolves, and the source labels often mix them up. The giveaways are the bushy tail carried low and the shorter, triangular ears. For fine-line engravings, think about the output size: dense hatching turns into a grey smudge as a small icon but looks its best on a printed poster or a T-shirt.
