A flower read as a sign
The Nature section has plenty of flowers, but the lotus is rarely used just as a plant. It stands for yoga and meditation, spa treatments, Buddhist and Hindu imagery, purity and a fresh start — which explains the many flat, perfectly symmetric versions next to the photos.
Picking the right style
Symmetric outlines work in logos, stamps and small icons, and remain readable at a tiny size. Photos feel warmer but need room: thin petals lose their veins when shrunk. Pink blooms stand out best on dark teal or deep blue, the colours of the water they grow in.
