Among the characters
Mythical creatures in general have their own page next door. Dragon is the most popular of them and comes in two distinct traditions: the winged, fire-breathing beast of European legend and the serpentine, wingless dragon of East Asia.
Pick the right tradition
For Lunar New Year, choose the long Chinese dragon with whiskers and a pearl. For fantasy games, knights and medieval themes, the four-legged winged dragon. Mixing them up is noticed immediately by anyone who knows either culture.
Detail at small sizes
Scales, horns and wing membranes turn to noise when shrunk. For a logo or an icon, a bold silhouette works better than a detailed painting.
