A style rather than a subject
In Characters, the neighbouring categories are about who is drawn — superheroes, dragons, mascots. Comics is about how: thick outlines, flat colour, halftone dots and exaggerated motion, whatever the subject.
Bits you can reuse
Speech bubbles, explosion bursts and sound-effect words work on their own, laid over a photo or a product shot. Full scenes are better as illustrations for a story page or a poster.
Before you place it
Comic art often comes with a white panel or a gutter around it. Check whether the transparent file is really cut to the drawing, or whether a frame edge is still hanging on one side.
