Where it sits among the weather folders
Rain, wind and thunder each have their own category in the Weather section; storm is where they collide. A drawing here usually carries more than one element at once — a cloud with both rain and a bolt, a twister tearing at trees, a sea whipped into waves. When a single ingredient is enough, the narrower folders are the better place to look.
Telling a useful file from a noisy one
Storm art often arrives with a dark sky painted in, which leaves a heavy grey block around the edges once it lands on a page. Check that the background is truly clear and that thin lightning branches weren’t lost in the cut-out. Flat icons with a cloud and one bolt read best at forecast size; dramatic, detailed tornadoes belong on posters and game screens.
