The general figure of the People section
The “People” section has precise shelves for doctors, teachers, couples, families and crowds. This category holds the anonymous human figure that could be anyone: a user icon, a stick person on a signpost, a silhouette on a poster about movement.
Choosing a neutral figure
For interfaces and infographics, a simple icon with no age, gender or clothing details works across audiences. Photographed portraits are real people, so use them for illustration, not as a testimonial or a fake team member. Silhouettes are the safest option when the page talks about people in general.
