Astronomy and the rest of Space
planet, star, galaxy and constellation each show one kind of object. Astronomy is the science that studies them: orbital diagrams, star charts, observatories, telescopes pointed at the sky, and the historical drawings of the people who worked it all out.
Diagram or picture
A schematic with orbits and labels is teaching material for a lecture slide, a science poster or a textbook page. It also works as a decorative background in the style of an old engraving, on a book cover or a planetarium ticket.
Thin lines
Line art of this kind is drawn with hairline strokes that vanish when the image is reduced or placed on a busy background. Test the file at its final size and on its final colour; it usually looks best on plain dark blue or a paper tone.
